Round 5 Catch up!
Aussie T-Ball!
Caspers Raptors
Today our little raptors went up against Camden Red Sox Kings and played such a good game today. Everyone did so well even though yes it was hot and everyone's legs were tired from playing an extra round but well done boys. You are getting better every week!
Today's player of the match goes to Eli, this was very hard to decide as a few of the little ones did so well but his batting has improved so much and he listened every time something was said and the catches and stops was very impressive. Well done Eli!

Caspers Grasshoppers
Round 5 was an away game at Catherine Field against the Mets Hitters. Straight away it was obvious that the Grasshoppers were on top of their game. Our newest team member Steve did a great job at the bat with with a couple of outfield hits, although he was sadly caught out on one of them. Our fielding was on point this week with Jasper, Jaxon, Rhyan, Eric and Tilly all working hard and getting the ball to the base. Dexter had a couple of great outs at 1st base, and batted consistently well to earn him the Macca's award. Tilly did her best batting all season and did a great job in catcher which earned her the Inspirational Design Joinery player of the week award. Thanks again to our team sponsors Little Buddies Early Learning Centre. And thank you to Darren, Chris, Grant and Kirsty for warming the kids up, base coaching and photos.

Caspers Sandlot
After coming from a tough 1 run loss last week, a pumped up Sandlot were looking to turn things around against the table leading Red Sox Rockhounds at the Casperdome.
The key message at training and on game day was ‘bring back the fun’, and Sandlot showed that this week with plenty of smiling faces and positive intent during warm ups.
Sandlot came out strong in the first inning, with Jess on the mound pitching well to not allow any runs across. Sandlot started hot with the bat getting an early base runner, however some excellent pitching and fielding from the Rockhounds prevented an early lead.
Red Sox came out firing second inning, scoring 2 runs despite some more good pitching and fielding. Sandlot struck back to level up the scores with some quality at bats and good base running.
Another good inning from Sandlot prevented any runs in the third, and from there Sandlot didn’t look back scoring big runs and taking the game 8-2.
Jess and Noah were excellent on the mound and Seth had another big game behind the plate. Carter, Chris and Jacob were excellent in the outfield holding runners to singles which helped prevent any big innings from the Rockhounds. Our bats awoke this week with everyone having great at bats with important hits when needed.
This weeks Inspirational Design Joinery Player of the Week was Jacob with an outstanding base hit that scored 2 important RBIs that turned the game our way. The McDonalds award for finally bringing the fun this week was Jess.

Caspers Cartel
Between washouts and byes, the newly formed Cartel finally took to the diamond for only the 2nd time this season.
We were up against the Red Sox Devils at Hilder whose line-up appeared to consist of 100% in form pitchers. The first innings at bat was a brief affair with no one making it to first base let alone making it home. Although in the field we held them to 4 across the plate with some great pitching from Gordo coupled with a tidy double play with Gus taking a catch at 3rd and getting the ball to Daz to tag a runner out at 2nd. The second innings was also uneventful with no one crossing home plate. But in the third, things got a little heated on home plate which saw Daz make the hit of the game to bring three runners home... the third runner was Trev who crossed in controversial fashion, but we'll take it. Damien took to the mound in the third innings to pitch for the first time ever. He did a fantastic job and got plenty of strikes and closed out the innings in sensational form.
In all, the Devils took us down 18-4. We had some great hits and some blinding plays which showed that with more game time, the Cartel could be a force down the track. We were all smiles at the end of a really fun game.
