Caspers Sandlot

After a few weeks off for the festive season, Sandlot were back on the diamond this week against the Red Sox Rockhounds at the Casperdome.

Due to a combination of holidays, sickness and broken bones, Sandlot could only put 8 on the field but that was never going to slow them down.

Jess took the ball for the first inning and the Red Sox bats were working early scoring 2 early runs. But as they do, Sandlot struck back quickly with some quality at bats from everyone.

The 8am starts are new for Sandlot, and a group chant got them up for the second inning. Jess again pitched well holding the Rockhounds to one run.

Again the Sandlot hit back, with 4 runs in the second inning to gain a good lead they wouldn’t let go of. Jess and Noah closed out the third inning and Sandlot came away with a 10-4 win.

Some excellent fielding this week, with special mentions to Jacob, Chris behind the plate, Harry, Bray and our outfielders Carter and Nicola all making some good plays and excellent decisions holding the Red Sox base runners.

Sandlot continues to have quality at bats from everyone.
