Round 4 Catch Up!

T-Ball

Caspers Grosshoppers

We had the late start at the Casperdome against an in-form Moorebank Blues outfit. The Grasshoppers batted first with some decent hitting. However, took to the field with a little less zeal. Attention spans and watching the ball were a bit lacking which is rare these days for the Grasshoppers. It just wasn't our day in the field but our batting as always was our strength with some great hits from Rhyan, Jaxon, Jasper, Tilly  and Bennie. The Inspirational Design Joinery player of the week went to Bennie for some fantastic work at 1st base and her resilience on the field after taking a zinger to her wrist. The Maccas award went to Jaxon for his tenacious efforts at 2nd base.

Thank you as always to the mums and dads and grandparents who support the team each week. And to Darren, Nathan, Liam and Kirsty for help with field coaching and photos. Also, thanks to Meg and Amy for volunteering in the canteen and BBQ.

Caspers Cyclones

This week with Coach Kynan away, Coach Lily was in charge and didn’t the Cyclones love it against a pumped up Moorebank at the Casperdome.

The Cyclones lived up to their name, tearing up the field with some excellent throwing and ground ball skills making some great outs.

With the bat, all the Cyclones hit the ball hard, and their base running was fantastic.

Player of the week this week was Trey, who’s hitting is improving every week and has speed to burn around the diamond.

The Cyclones worked together and should be so proud with this weeks fantastic game

Caspers Sandlot

A very wet Diamond 2 at the Casperdome meant a switch to the main diamond for the Sandlot this week, but that didn’t dampen our spirit for a big game against the Red Sox Defenders.

Jess took to the mound to start us off, and some good pitching, strong fielding and an excellent catch from Tommie ended the first inning. Sandlot as usual batting strongly pushing runs across the plate to grab an early lead.

From the second inning though it was a different game. The defenders worked hard and scored some valuable runs to grab back the lead, and unfortunately despite some great at bats and fielding Sandlot couldn’t pull it back and went down 5-4.

All players had great games, both in the field and during their at bats.

Seth had a monster game behind the plate, racking up a few kms to the back fence and this week took home the Inspirational Design Joinery Player of the Week. And this week Jacob took the McDonalds award for his great attitude and team spirit.
